Master 6-minute breathing techniques for BJJ sparring. Learn realistic inhale-exhale rhythms to improve performance and control during grappling.
Hi and welcome back to day four of the breathing program. This class will focus on Jiu Jitsu realistic breathing, almost. So when I spar, I never breathe like this. Never.
I try to go inhale for two and exhale for two. And then of course, if I end up in a scramble and I have to breathe through my mouth, I do that. But this is my preferred rhythm, like about one and a half to two seconds on the inhale and the same on the exhale. What we're going to do is because we're not moving, we're not using our bodies while we do this, so we're going to add an extra five second more or less pause between the breaths.
So one cycle like this. And then the next one begins. Otherwise, we will get lightheaded than this. OK, let's try it.
It's very hard for me to do this one and guide you through it. So it's better if you just mimic.
