Release shoulder tension with this 30-minute yin yoga class designed for BJJ athletes. Target fascia, lats, and connective tissue.
Our session for today are slower held postures to release all the connective tissue with the tendons, the fascia, and the ligaments throughout more of the upper body. Today's focus will move through the shoulders and also in turn the muscles of the lats, the fascia, through the lats, the pecs, and maybe even the traps a little bit. Find your way on your hands and knees moving into what's called puppy pose. Walk the hands forward, elbows on the ground, palms together.
Bring them behind your head. Go ahead and place the head on the mat. Be your forehead on the mat. The hips should still be in the air and it's not a massive deal if the hips are in line with the knees.
It's not a crazy big deal.
